Is the daycare licensed by the state?

Yes, Dalee’s Daycare has a Rhode Island Department of Human Services Childcare License.

Do you provide weekend daycare services?

The daycare is open Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays. Parents are notified of holidays, vacations, and other days we will be closed two weeks in advance.

Where and when do the children sleep?

We have sleeping mats for the children, who nap from 12:30 to 2:30. Parents must provide blankets for their child.

Do you provide meals for the children?

We provide breakfast, a morning snack, and lunch. An afternoon snack and dinner can be provided at an additional cost. Meals are prepared by the daycare staff.

What is the discipline policy?

Hitting, yelling at, or shaking children is never acceptable from our caregivers. If discipline is required, we handle it calmly and professionally.

Are the staff trained in early child development?

All staff are trained in child development and hold CDA credentials.

How does the daycare handle emergencies?

The daycare has two emergency exit doors. All staff are trained in CPR and first aid.

What is the center’s policy for sick children?

For the health of the rest of our participants, we kindly ask that sick children stay home until they are feeling better.

How experienced is the staff?

Our home provider has 10 years of experience, and all assistants have at least 7 years of experience. Our emergency assistants have at least 5 years of experience.
